  • Projected $120 million gap to complete the amphitheater & soccer stadium. The aquarium project is still in the early stages of planning.
  • To generate enough annual revenue to bond for $120 million, Kent County needs the authority to move its Lodging Tax from 5% to 8%.
  • County lodging tax revenue:
    • 5% Capture: $15,000,000 – current amount
    • 3% Capture (Year 1): $9,000,000 Proposed visitor tax addition
    • Total Year 1: $24,000,000 – total 8% if approved!

Join us in supporting this effort that will allow visitors to fund community assets, and allow us to continue to make Kent County a destination for all!
